I have not once defended "sex offenders" Audrey. You asked what people thought and I pointed that as we don't actually know what has happened I didn't feel able to comment on it.

I know just how easy it is to make something sound worse than it is - it is a well known tactic of litigation lawyers as is sensationalising and using snappy strap lines. I also know that something can be made to sound less severe than it is by using clever language.

Because I don't know the truth behind this situation on which you are commenting then I hesitate to voice an opinion on a public internet forum where jumping to the wrong conclusion could potentially end up as libel.
