Re: What do you all think ?
I don't see the point of putting people in prison to pay for a crime they have committed if when they come out having served that time, they are not able to carry on a proper life again. I would like to assume that he has been assessed and those that made the decision to release him considered him to no longer be any kind of threat. In which case why should anyone else judge him.
I also assume that if he has been voted onto a committee that those individuals who made that decision, knew enough about him and the situation to make an informed and considered decision, and to criticise their decision without the facts they may have been privvy to is completely unjust. It maybe hard nowadays to find people who to want to spend time on a cat club committee, but I can not see anyone unnecessarily jeopardising the viability of their club or the trust of their members, just to make up the numbers.
I also fail to see how this would reflect on the GCCF as a whole. I wonder how any club would feel if the GCCF started dictating who they could have on their committee and who they couldn't.
As with any club/organisation there are people from all walks of life from all sorts of backgrounds and all sorts of secrets. There are just as many of those in TICA as the GCCF as FIFE.
