It seems I am getting another cat
A lady who works in the same office as my mum has had a litter of kittens (well, not her, but her cat has). Unfortunately she has had some difficulty in finding homes for them all, so my mother rang me up a couple of weeks ago and asked if I would take on a kitten and because I am such a sap I said yes.
Our new kitten is male and will be coming home on 16th May.
However we already have a 3 year old neutered male cat Thomas. During the nicer weather Thomas is more out then in choosing to come in for grub and a nap here and there. He is already used to other pets arriving in the home, but never a cat. He's friendly with the other cats, both queens and toms in our area (except his arch nemesis who bullied him when we first moved here).
Is there anything we can do to ease the arriving of the new kitten into the family? Or is it a case of giving them plenty of space and time to get to know each other?
