The only thing that occurs to me is that
a) each cat reacts differently but in general, it takes a while for her hormones to settle
b) she will eventually calm down - not sure how long but for comparison with my Poppy it took about 3 months and with my Zoe it took about six months for them to settle into being nice sociable girls who behave in a reasonably normal way (for a siamese, that is).

Am sure that others will post more useful information.
