Generally once they have been neutered at 6mths they are fine to go on to an adult food. The kitten foods just have extra supplements for immunity and lots of protein in them. The Adult foods are as high in protein and have a higher carb content usually in the cheaper brands. Some foods like Bozita don't even differentiate between kitten/adult they just feed for both!
