Hi
I am new here and I have a 9 year old adorable cat called Thelma. We got her from a rescue centre a couple of years ago and she was quite a big cat (6kg). Her weight crept up to 7kg and we took her to the vets who suggested Obesity food. She has been on Royal Canin Obesity pouches for a while now and has just got down to 4.5kg - well done Thelma
We now need to move her on to a Light food (adult or senior is fine) but it has to be wet as she will not touch dry. The vet has suggested Hills Science Adult Light but am struggling to find many places that stock it. Vet said they do pouches but I can't find them - just tins (which would be ok). She has had a Hills Science tin before which was like mush and she would not touch it.
Another issue is cost, the Royal Canin Obesity pouches were expensive and we were hoping to move on to a cheaper Light food if possible.
Does anyone know/use a good light food in a pouch? Any recommendations? She doesn't need to be on Obesity food anymore and we have just run out. Back on normal pouches until I can order an alternative. Tinned would ok aswell.
Any help and advice much appreciated.
Many thanks
