He was not moving and was obvioulsy in huge pain. We rushed him straight to the emergency vet who was able to stabalise him with an IV drip, some pain killers and antibiotics. It transpires that he has broken his pelvis in two places and has a massive hematoma on his stomach. Yesterday the prognosis was good. He was stable and the specialist that he is with said that he may not need surgery, despite quite a bit of displacement. The main worry was whether the nerve leading to his bladder had been damaged, but the signs were good. Today he has gone really down hill. His breathing is laboured and his bloodpressure is really low. His temperature has also gone down and he has fluid on his lungs. I have been told to expect the worse. I guess I am looking for stories with a happy ending to focus on because at the moment I feel like I am going to vomit I am so worried. Any advice or positive stories will be hugely appreciated. Thanks xx
Hi,

I am so sorry to hear about Archie, I really hope he pulls through for you. I know its hard but you just have to show him you are being positive. Cats really pick up on that, maybe as someone else suggested you can visit him and just sit and stroke him. I am sure he will benefit a lot from that.

I hope you get some good news soon.

Izzie
