I noticed last night that my new femal rabbits genitals looked slightly red and swollen. First thing that popped in my head was Myxi, so i took her down the vets, expecting to lose yet another female (ive lost 2 in the past year - one was very sudden) and it turned out i was a little paranoid. I knew she was in season, but id never observed the full swelling of the genitals despite having owned rabbits for over 15 years, and having bred them for about 2.
I think i got so paranoid as she isnt vaccinated yet, as my vet feels shes a little under conditioned, and wants her to put on a bit more body weight first.
