Re: crying and yelping at night!

Hi there,

I too am in the same situation. I have had Jasper close to two weeks. The first night he cried for one hour and then ever since then when leaving him either day/night he crys for about 10-15 minutes. I hate to hear it and i have to keep going over and over in my head, does he have water, is his collar off, have i locked his crate etc... i know he is fine he is just crying for him mum still and does not want to be on his own. Not once have i gone down to him when crying as i know that will be like a night wasted and the following night would be worse.

If im in the house on my own and want to pop upstairs, i put him in his crate and he crys then as well. I make sure i do not come downstairs to him while he is still crying as he will relate him crying to me coming down to give him attention.

At night time do you put a cover over the crate? He has this at night but not in the day.

I hope this helps you, i too am new at it but every little bit of information helps

:-)
