jess the pest!
My gorgeous Jess wd have been 11 this easter. I lost her last November, after a summer of tummy problems, i found a lump in her groin, which proved to be a secondary tumour: she had cancer. She deteriorated quickly but still managed to chase a ball along the beach until the day I had to let her go. Life aint the same without them is it?
I dealt with losing her by volunteer dog walking at a local dogs home and was given a puppy then at Christmas: I felt intensely disloyal to Jess and worried that I wasn't ready for another dog, but Roxy is a delight and I am so glad I had her. I have to say though that I miss Jess every single day still. I still volunteer dog walk, and take Roxy along with me when I'm able: I hope the two of us make a difference to the dogs we walk with.
But what a void in my life! To everyone who posts here, my best wishes and sympathies.
