Hi. You have a great opportunity, having a puppy, to get it right. Training classes, I believe would help you massively. I do not think you need to even consider a halti at this stage with a pup.

As I have only had adult rescue's, I cannot offer advice on puppy training. I have tried training classes and although they did not work for me (mine had behavioural issues), I belive they are ideal for people like yourself. The one I went to only cost about 7.00GBP per session, so I think, great value for money.

Sorry I am not much help, but I doubt whether the training I used on my rescue's would be the same as for puppy's.

Can anyone who has had difficult rescue dogs and a puppy answer the following question:

Is there a different way of teaching adult dogs and puppy's to walk to heel?
