Definately recommend clicker training, its a simple way of marking the desired behaviour, but timing MUST be right! I used it all the time in the early days but OH couldn't get his timing right and was always clicking too late.

Haven't used it with Zach for months now but I was opening something in another room the other day and the packaging made a "click" that sounded like his clicker, he was right there waiting for the treat bless him!
