Wink Re: What you need in your cat birthing box

Hi Im new to this blog but had a healthy litter of 4 kittens on the 31st march 09! My norweigen forest x maine coon cat cat gave birth to 4 georgious babies fatherthered by a ginger "moggie". she has been brilliant never went near the birthing box till her waters went! was really worried. Since she has delievered her 2 boys and 2 girls 10 days ago she has let me and my husband hold the babies from day 1!!!! our 3 children hold them from day 3(aged 11-16) and our Rottweiller bitch lick them from day 4!!! not to mention our other 2 cats aged 6 and 14 reguarly passing by! I think there is a lot of scare mongery amonst cat breeders and loving homes! b4 i did this i had 6 homes so all 4 kittys were accounted 4 b4 they were born(with 2 dissappointed new mummys) cats know what their doing and who to trust!!!
