Hi, I was given a stray cat appx 2 mths ago. I thought she was pregnant as her nipples grew bigger. Her stomach seemed to also swell. I wormed her and frontlined her then a couple of weeks ago her belly seemed to shrink so I thought she must have just had worms. Well yesterday I frontlined her again. Today she didn't submit me to her usual morning tag team style wake-up and feed me call. I noticed that she started to breath heavily and has some vaginal discharge and what appeared to be contractions. This lasted about a hour then she has now settled down again. She had a bit of a temperature but that has also gone now. I have helped other cats give birth about 5 times so I'm not a novice but I was sure that she wasn't pregnant. Anyone ever heard of this?? I think the contractions are starting again? Is she miscarriaging? I am in Greece and a vet would be a last resort especially as after checking the frontline spray it has not been proved safe for pregnant cats! I told the vet she might be pregnant when I bought it.
