Some breeds are created around a specific, chance mutation.
Some breeds have been developed around crosses to produce a "different" cat, which is fair enough.

However having an Oriental queen and breeding it to a Bengal stud or vice versa and supposedly producing "Serengeti" kittens is not right in my opinion they are merely crosses and should be viewed as such.

Are there any true Serengeti breeders in the UK and not just ones with Orientals and Bengals producing cross kittens?
