Re: siamese / oriental cats

why is 'friend' in air quotes?

I have no idea about any of these questions, you would have to ask her yourself, although Im sure she doesnt really want to be answering questions from someone she doesnt know on the internet!!

She came to me for a kitten and I gave her so much help & advice she came back to me for more about her situation Ive already told her where she went wrong and that the 'breeder' she has been to hasnt got a clue.

whats the point keep going over it, she has learned her lesson the hard way sadly and now has to deal with moggy/cross breed babies.

I have also manged to find the person who bred her cat, so it is a pedigree, now Im trying to help her reg it, which is a mind field in itself when the stupid person who sold it to her hasnt got a clue!

Personally I dont believe in any 'accidental' matings. People should just say they breed their cat instead of going into a big old song and dance about it!

I guess EVERY breed has thousands who love it and equally thousands who dont! Just like marmite, lol!

Personally the Ocicat/Egyptian mau/Savannah etc and Many other breeds of cats dont do anything for me, yet im sure the people who love it do so because they see something in it, which is the same for me when I look at the breds that I love

Which is possbily why people have different breeds that they buy!

There are about 5 different breeds with a bob tail, do we really need that many? Obviously people think we do as they are all here now! folded ears, curly ears, munchkins cats with extra toes, New breeds which I wonder 'why?' about. but im sure that others love them just as much as I love my breeds!

I guess this is why the world is different as we all love & hate different things and have different opinions, I personally dont force mine on others as I know people have their own mind and their owns choices in life, with everything.

Everyone has breeds they love and dont like, I dont like to question people over it, its just life dislikes & likes we all have them

What is wrong with good old fashioned research, finding some good traditional, honest breeders who have got lovely cats with pedigrees. Every breed has at its core these folk who know exactly what they are doing and have been breeding and doing well and producing beautiful cats for years.
Why do these breeders get ignored in favour of those who always have some trouble with paperwork and oops matings and not sure who the father exactly is, and no pedigree documentation etc. etc.

Then there is the pedigree crosses who now are getting names.
The Serengeti is not recognised for championship status in TICA, do we really need another spotted cat?
What has it got to bring to the party that the Savannah, Egyptian Mau, Ocicat, Oriental Shorthair and Bengal don't have???? Not to mention the spotted variations of any breed that allows tabbies in their colour scheme.
