Re: siamese / oriental cats

Why is your "friend" dealing with what sounds like a fairly dodgy person in the first place?
What is wrong with good old fashioned research, finding some good traditional, honest breeders who have got lovely cats with pedigrees. Every breed has at its core these folk who know exactly what they are doing and have been breeding and doing well and producing beautiful cats for years.
Why do these breeders get ignored in favour of those who always have some trouble with paperwork and oops matings and not sure who the father exactly is, and no pedigree documentation etc. etc.

Then there is the pedigree crosses who now are getting names.
The Serengeti is not recognised for championship status in TICA, do we really need another spotted cat?
What has it got to bring to the party that the Savannah, Egyptian Mau, Ocicat, Oriental Shorthair and Bengal don't have???? Not to mention the spotted variations of any breed that allows tabbies in their colour scheme.
