Antibiotics have no affect on the virus itself, if caught that has to run its course. AntiBs help keep secondary bacterial infections under control. The OP didn't say that her cat had symptoms, just that she had swabbed positive for calici. I am assuming the cat didn't have symptoms because she was spayed.
