my mum bought a ragdoll kitten 2 weeks ago and she did exactly the same thing!

she went nearly 48 hours withought eating

im a nurse so i took her to work with me for a check over and the minuite i put her in the cattery she ate breakfast!!!!

i think she could sense that she would be poked and prodded by a vet if she didnt eat soon - lol

after that she went home and has eaten fine ever since.
I would also try a feliway diffuser or spray, it can really help the settling in process.
