thanks everyone - we did take Syd to the vets straight away and it is a good job we did. He was really struggling to use the litter tray and then literally exploded, urine everywhere! He had a blockage and that luckily relieved it - but the vet said it is another bout of cystitus - could be due to stress as th house has been quite noisy, or it could be hereditary. If it happens again, a 3rd time, they will have to do some investigative work on him.

He is now on antibiotics plus a couple of other tablets and is so much better, still so loving and happy, play fighting with Cass (she also emulated his symptoms and decided to throw up everywhere Saturday but is fine now)

Fingers crossed he doesn't have a 3rd episode! Poor mite
