Re: Cat Litter..

Ive got a combination 3 litter trays and 3 different types of litter. As i foster i like to have a selection as some cats refuse to use certain types.

I use....

Tesco/asda value
Worlds best
Yesterdays news (or a wood based one if i run out lol)

Each is different. I have to say I prefer the worlds best (i buy it from pet-supermarket as its usually on offer there). one medium bag in my tray (plus some left over for topping up) lasts me a month! That works out more cost effective.

Re the tesco value/ asda smartprice Personally i refuse to pay more for a clay based litter, they are all the same! Why pay more for dyes (pink anyone), scents (oooh flowers and poop), pretty pictures on the bags - ahhhh kittens!

The yesterdays news is good, and actually tracks the least here, I will use the tesco/asda wood based one too if i run out and thats not bad. Ive found the trick with the wood/paper based ones is to not fill the tray deep at all. Then empty it every day. just a couple of handfulls at a time as it expands so much.

I have tried the gell/crystal type ones, while very pretty i really dont get the point! They do nothing more than the clay based ones imho.

Kittens born here all start on worlds best (safe if eaten) but i try to get them used to al 3 types before leaving, helps the new owners out.
