We've got a special cat odour removing carpet cleaner, and obviously wash anything he has been on, but he seems to just go wherever the fancy takes him! and the problem is we can never really catch him "in the act" always just after or we smell it and go on the hunt for it! we have had to keep them both locked in the hall where the litter tray, scratching post and food and water is kept whenever they are left alone in the house or when we are asleep, we dont want to confine them but we dont know what else to do......
