He is microchipped so if anything happens they could trace him back to me. If he's getting stuck on things then a buckle collar are a no go! I have to agree though people see a cat without a collar and automatically think they are a stray, or not looked after well.

I would just try a couple of different types and see which is the most difficult to get off
