As a result of the replies to this thread, not many, but the information given by BillyBoysmammy of the CANNY collar, with the photos and description, has made our minds up.

We have fixed on the Canny collar. Nobody round here actually stock them, but there is no problem ordering one.

I sussed out PENDULUM on the net who seem to market them, read all their data - quite comprehensive and Emailed them regarding size, which can be debatable.

They said that the collar has to be a tight fit just behind the ears and said that a large GS should not need more than their Size 5 or 43-45 cm.

WELL, Mr.Pendulum you sure ain`t seen my KAS. If we put a Size 5 on him, it would simply be a question of cremation or burying, the dog would choke to death.

My wife measured him at 56 cm and then I measured him at no less than 54 cm. THAT means a SIZE 7 ! or 53-58 cm. There is not much adjustment, about 2 inches I believe - hopefully downwards.

So, we have ordered a Size 7 from our pet man and will get it soon. Cost about £15.

The Canny certainly looks good, it satisfies my own technical criteria and knowledge of Mechanics, Neton`s Laws and all that jazz.
