My son has had one for 3 months now and hes great . As with any animal they are 'easy once you know how' so lots of research needed
The set up is not cheap, large viv ( sectioned when its small) heat lamp, repti light and thermostat which costs a fair bit . Plus of course the logs etc for him to sit on . Then the crix which they eat alot of when young
The only thing I dislike is feeding him the crickets , which I seem to have got lumbered with doing since he started f/t work
