I would do similar - give him as much as he will take. Not sure how old the kitten is - sounds like he's only two days old. Often when a baby is born, it may lose a bit of weight at first because it is having to take food via its mouth rather than straight into its body via the umbilical cord. I would put a bit over 5ml in the bottle and let him take as much as he wants but still try him with his mum's milk. If he finishes the milky easily, then next feed offer him a bit more,or an earlier feed - they will stop when they've had enough for the time being. If he leaves a drop or two its ok - same amount next feed.
