Hi Elaine,
I am afraid that it`s a case of having to keep them in for as long as possible, or you are likely not to see them again. It`s going to be difficult, one way you can try is to keep them in one room first and then open up the rest of the house to them abit at a time. Make them as comfortable as possible with lots of litter trays, blankets,toys,treats etc. But it will take time and lots of patience.
