I thought this would be best in a new topic because it is a diferent subject to my other thread!

What does it mean when a hamster high pitched screams/hisses at you? obviously shes a bit miffed but why do they go like that? I have recently had to separate my 2 girls because of a fight. Is Maisie lonely, or could she be hurt? She won't let me near her and if i put my hands in the cage.... i won't have any left! Should I leave her alone or should I clean her cage out early to make an excuse to check on her? She is still eating and drinking but is only out of her nest for a matter of minutes. I don't think she could be pregnant unless Ella isn't really a girl, but have noticed both of them getting chubby but I think its just them growing up.

She used to be fine with me, and more active but she has suddenly changed since moving into her own cage.
