Hi all

Im new to owning rats, and so far Im loving it! The trouble is, I think Im spoiling my rat babies too much! Im not 100% sure on when and how much I should be feeding them.

They have a bowl for their dry rat mix which I only top up once it's nearly all gone, but I am giving them little bits of food here and there throughout the day. They also have a salad bowl attached to the side of their cage which I have filled with grapes and cucumber but they dont really seem to be very interested in it at the moment.

Last night they had some left over spagetti and some cheese before I went to bed, and this morning they had some of my cheerios. Am I over-feeding them?
