wouldnt worry too much, ive had quite a few maine coons who have had a sudden groth spurt...as they grow upto 4 years of age so anything is possible (as Lou said they are indeed slow maturers)....my tortie MC girl was small at 1 years old but is now bigger than a lot of the males out there
