Hi everyone, thanks for your advice. I spent many hours researching Metacam on the internet last night and although some of the evidence is alarming, some of it is very positive.

I have decided to keep a diary of Louis, what he is eating, what I am dosing him and how he is behaving, for at least two weeks. Louis has chronic Stomatitis and is also taking Interferon.

Yesterday we administered 3.5 on the syringe and a few hours later he perked up a LOT! So I am wondering if his behaviour was because he hadn't had any pain relief. He actually ate 2.5 sachets of food, one after the other! This morning he was a little grumpy but has eaten some watered down food. I have only given him 1 mark on the syringe. Luckily I work from home so I will keep an eye on him.
