Re: Alternative to Orijen?

If people are uncomfortable feeding their cats with Orijen, then so be it. I am going to shoot an email off to Champion tomorrow as I have some concerns I would like them to provide answers for.

In the meantime, in reply to the OP, Applaws dry is equally as high in meat % and I know around the time of the Aussie issue, they were offering a straight swap Orijen for Applaws. However, while initially a lot of peoples cats on here seemed to love it, after a while it was giving them the squits. So I think you will find more people on here using Orijen rather than Applaws dry. Also, someone did post in the Applaws dry thread that they had a packet of the dry tested and it contained faeces. Make of that what you will.

MPM Products are the manufacturers and they also produce the 'Encore' Range at Sainsburys for cheaper. I believe it may be slightly different as my cats will barely touch Applaws (won't touch Applaws kitten at all) yet will eat Encore. This is wet I'm talking about. Anyway, so Encore dry will be appearing in Sainsburys 'early March'.

Mine were on a Hills kitten chicken mix with Orijen until I cut out the Orijen a few days ago re: posts on this website. The Hills kitten is 60%+ meat but yes, contains those cereals. Having said that, between 2 they get 3 small handfuls a day given a 10min lag after they get wet.
