If you really want to get back the costs you could go through the small claims court. I haven't done it but have heard it is actually quite simple.

I'm not too bothered about the costs now what's really angered me is that she will not accept that the kitten had the ringwrom when it left her....she has admitted that her vet thought her cats had ringworm, however apparently only 5 out of the 18 cats were tested and they were all negative. She has also admitted by telephone that she noticed that white scabby patches on my kitten and a few others but that it was not ringworm, just dried milk and food....these white scabby patches are what my vet tested by culture and they came back as positive for ringworm.
I don't really want to keep persuing her as she will not admit that the kitten had ringworm when it left her so I keep going round in circles with her and she will definately not pay up. I'm back to the vets again tonight to pick up the rest of my cats meds and I've asked them to provide me with a copy of the culture results and a report written by my vet to say that 2 days after purchase I took my kitten to the vets where after examination it was evident she had ringworm and that they severity of it would not have developed within 2 days of her being home with me.
I'd just want the breeder to do the right thing and contact the other owners to let them know about my kitten and to get theirs checked, though with the stigma surrounding ringworm I doubt very much that this will happen
