My vet did sy the highest bill he'd had for a cat though was £3k after a traffic accident so I was thinking £4-7k would probably cover most eventualities wouldn't it?

I'm not paying for the Supercat plan cos it's half as much again per month and I can't justify that. Most other plans seem to quote around £10pm for between £4k-7k cover. Might go with the £6k one!
