No offence taken. Fortunately my daughter is tough as old boots and i took her back over to Oscar once he was out of solitary so he could say sorry.

If it had been my son we may have had a problem as he isn't quite so dominant.

I am happy that it wasn't a dominance issue with her because he had just done the same thing to me but he didn't get his teeth in.

I will remove the ears for now but i am worried that is not treating the root cause of the problem.

Having read all the posts i thought i would reintroduce in a couple of weeks and put him in the kitchen, away from children but he also can't hide in a corner (this seems to make him worse).

I thought i would then carry on with the treat, remove, give back thing.

What is the general opinion?

What should i do if he growls or snaps, should i just remove it and try again another day, should i isolate him if he does (i only remove him from the room for a couple of minutes) ?

There is a school of thought that sais taking it off them makes them more possesive over it and they should just be left alone, what does anyone think about that ??

I remember we had a springer when i was a kid and he was the most docile thing but you couldn't go near him if he had a bone and we all knew that so left him alone.
