Re: Costs of keeping a dog or puppy

I have two so I do have a few more expenses, but here we go...:

food, £40 per 40kilo bag

insurance:£12 a month per dog

Vet costs,... injections, worming & frontline:about £100 a year

Car valet (hair gets EVERYWHERE) £40 a time

Bedding:un limited-depending on whether you dog is a chewer! I have paid anywhere from£10-£50 for a single bed

Products: shampoo/velvet coat/brushes/cleaning stuff:£20 approx every 6 months
Grooming: I pay very little and am lucky enough to have an excellent groomer I pay £16 for both mine every 6 weeks

Toys/ball/chews: I spend anything from .99p to £15 for a toy and because Lady is a chewer she goes through a fair ammount.

Food/water bowls: £2-£20 each

Walking/entertainment-: costs nothing but a lot of time and commitment

kennels, I've just booked mine in at £10 a night per dog

collars/leads/tags/chipping: £25 per chip, leads & tags & collars depend on quality

Poo bags: £1 for 50

treats: For training I use Smachos broken up, £2 ish per bag.

It may be expensive but what you get in return is amazing!
