meh, youre very lucky to get a "new type" MC (breeders will understand what i mean!) to live past 15...infact a lot of MC's have died very youg over the past few years...only a few weeks ago did one of the top show MC's die at a very young age.

my old type MC's got to 16, and my aunts old royalcoon boy died 2 days ago at 17...not many left now

however back to the original topic...i find that my british shorthair boy sheds a hell of a lot ore than the MC's and forest cat....but my suggestion for a loving, affectionate, beautiful cat that hardly sheds is the somali...they crave human attention, and are so friendly!

and as someone mentioned...siberians if you have allergies, im allergic to cats (yes...i have MC's, NFC, somalis and brits and a horse...tut) and im not affeted by siberians fur!

and someoe mentioned the singapura...totally agree! gorgeous cats! i know a breeder infact and totally love them.

if youre that worried about shedding fur, maybe forget the semi longhaired section for a bit and look at the vast amount of shorthaired cats
