We had our old cat insured with Direct Line and it was a godsend. She had to have a leg removed, she had asthma and an overactive thyroid all of which were covered by the insurance. We claimed back about £2000 in total before she went on to catty heaven and there were never any queries. As someone else has said though, make sure they're covered for life and not just for a year per condition. You never know what is going to happen with cats regardless of whether they go out or not and it can be very expensive.
