Could you not look for another kennels or creshe in your area.
I would rather my dog had company all day and i would rather they came home covered in mud than be alone.
What about your neighbours could they not have him while you are working.
My neighbour used to come and sit with mine for a while if i was stuck and even took her to his house. It was company for them both.

Put an advert in the local shop for someone who would like a dog during the day if they are at home. You could maybe offer a small payment if you can.
