She's never been in a crate, but as you say.. she loves it in there, so I don't think it's that. I've left her in her crate a few times in the first couple of days while nipping upstairs or into the kitchen - usually when she was asleep - but she's be on her feet within seconds and whining as soon as I'm out of sight. She settles alone better if the door is open and she can wander around, but I couldn't leave her in the lounge at night. She was in the kitchen last night with the door open, and it made no difference. Maybe her bed in the kitchen with no crate might be an idea... but as she likes the crate, I'm not sure. Thaks for the ideas
Thanks for the reassurance

it's the neighbours I'm worrying about. I have an old couple one side who have been lovely, but I worry about them... and an ex-friend on the other side who complained after the first night and we've fallen out - her doing I might add!!

Have you tried a DAP diffuser in the room with her? I've never used one (luckily always had chilled out dogs) but I've heard they can work really well for stressed little ones.

Yeah, 4 days isn't long for us, but my neighbour doesn't think so!!

I haven't tried the DAP, just because they're so expensive and might not work - sounds silly I know. But I also read it can take a few weeks to work.
I might try her bed in the kitchen tonight without the crate, and if that doesn't work, I'm probably going to move her into our room in her crate.. I just hope it doesn't make the dependency worse
Thanks for the advice - any other ideas, I'm all ears!!
