I find it great, the trouble with the magnetic ones is they don"t always work if the cats collar isn"t laying in the correct position, a friend of mine had one and her poor cat was always sitting out side waiting to be let in ! she also said he kept losing the magnet and it got expensive to replace. hope this helps x
