Aww!! Bless her!! All breeds are different and when its their first season, you can never know. Smaller bitches tend to come into their first season around 6 months but bigger breeds, like mine, can take up to 8-9 months.

You're right to wait the 3 months before speying. I remember my last bitch having a hormone imbalance. Everytime we went to the vet for her to be spayed, she was just coming into season!! She had 3 seasons in 6 months!! Had to have her speyed one and a half months after the last season.
