If there is a valid health-related reason for docking, then fair enough. However, I am absolutely opposed to any form of mutilation on dogs for purely cosmetic purposes, be it tail docking, ear cropping or anything else. It is cruel, barbaric and unnecessary, and I can't understand why anyone would support it.

My recent addition a ex-stud working JRT has no tail at all. He's a friendly little chap but it's such a shame he hasn't got a tail to wag, not the same seeing a little bum wobbling.
There is nothing more beautiful than seeing a Rottie or Dobie with a lovely long tail, they look 100 times better!
