Re: Timmy
Hi
Many thanks for your kind thoughts.
I quess we both really knew what the best thing for Timmy was. He has been really miserable this week since he lost his sight in his one good eye, crying and wandering about bumping into things, he was so frightened, it was heartbreaking to watch.
Well he was booked into the vets for 17:00 hrs today, so we have spent the day giving him lots of hugs and treats, the only way he felt safe enough to sleep was in our arms like a baby.
That last time putting him in his box and loading him in the car was the hardest thing I have had to do. I have to say our vet was brilliant, he had a final look in his eye to see if there was any way to save some sight but there was none.
We couldn't stay around to watch so everything was prepared, we gave him a final hug and said goodbye and left him in the hands of a lovely vet and veterinary nurse and left, with that empty box.
He will have a seperate creamation and we will get his ashes back some time next week, once this cold weather breaks he will be buried in the shade of his favourite tree.
We are heartbroken now, but time is a healer, we can look back on all of the good times, funny times. Cats are brilliant, once you gain their trust their love is very special, we couldn't have asked for a better cat to come into our lives all those years back.
It has been a privilage to look after him.
R.I.P Timmy, we miss you loads.
Take it easy cat lovers
