Hi,
We have had terrible trouble with ear mites in the past if thats what it is.
Check for any black dirt that looks like coffee granules in the ears, if you see this get some surulan (think thats how its spelt) from your vets, and some epioptic ear cleaner. If ear mites aren't treated straight away it can leave a cat with long term excessive ear wax which can takes ages and ages to get rid off.

Hope its not mites.
