hmmm I don't know why your kitty might do that but it could be that she just likes the feel of it. My cat particularly likes to have her ears tugged and slightly pulled and I read somewhere that it feels like a massage to them and they think that you are cleaning them

keep an eye that it doesn't get red otherwise I should think it would be ok
