Hi!
Last year i've put a microchip to my pets. I have a cat and a dog.
I've made some research and talk seriously with my vet.
Implanting a microchip doesn't hurt. The veterinarian has to inject a tiny chip about the size of a grain of rice just under the pet's skin between the shoulder blades. The number on the chip is then entered into a database matching the name and phone number of the pet’s owner and when a lost pet is found, any animal hospital, shelter, or humane society can use a special handheld microchip scanner to read our microchip's unique ID number.
I think this is a good alternative to feel less stressed about loosing our pets.
