Does the rescue know your working hours If so I am confused to why they think you are a suitable home for a kitten as kittens need to be feed 4 times a day and you can't do that if you work all day and then go back out at night.
If I was you I wouldn't get one as if you have to many cats in a small space you get toilet and behavioural problems and end up with stressed out un happy cats.
