Mine get to open my pressies too and they get the wrappings and boxes to play with on Christmas day. Poppy, who is 10 years old, prefers to watch the younger ones, Suki (aged 5 yrs) and her daughter Kiki (aged nearly 3 years) play and frolic amongst the Christmas mess.
