Worms affecting kitten skin

Warning: Pictures arent for the faint at heart.

Hey guys.

We have 4 kittens. All had general worm treatment, but about 2 months ago one of the females had a raw patch of skin appear, a friend said it was round worm. It literally looked like a fleshy version of a really bad carpet burn.

Eventually that healed and shes been fine since. Then today, the day after my little man was neutered, I discovered the same thing on his neck.

I've taken a photo (below). Ideally I don't want to take him to the vet for it, because it will clear up like hers did. What I wondered is can anyone recognize the worm it could be so I can treat the other kittens before they get it?

p.s he's not in any discomfort for it, he's actually 100% despite his operation yesterday, she was the same to, didn't seem to cause her any pain, it just dried up. If I could tell he was in pain, I'd take him tp the vets.
